The girls and I went on a walk this afternoon, the weather is delightful, 70, sunny, and breezy.  Aside from the new neighbors slightly scary and aggressive LGDs that are apparently trained to an underground fence, the walk was super peaceful.  The colorful leaves crunched under our feet, numerous caterpillars were crossing the road.  Those caterpillars made it very evident not only that winter is coming but it looks like it will be a long one!  The black stripes were much greater on the vast majority of the little fuzzy things than I'd ever seen.
I don't look forward to doing chores in coveralls and hauling hot water out to the barn.
